I have been noticing recently several incidents in which online ticket sales for certain entertainment (
Garth Brooks,
Hannah Montana) or sporting events (
Rockies World Series games) have been immediately sold out to the public, or crashed servers altogether preventing purchase online. What is causing this? Software, hackers, ticket brokers, and excited fans, with the obvious winner being the ticket brokers, and losers being the fans.

It’s been a pretty lazy Labor Day, I can’t lie. That’s usually the way I spend the last day of my weekend anyway. Catch up on some movies, today was ATL, Blue Chips, Legends of the Fall, and some other shows in-between.
As I am writing this, I am watching the HBO special FutureSex Loveshow by Justin Timberlake. JT is one talented dude. Although Alpha Dog probably wasn’t the best movie, he’s a pretty damned good actor. The SNL appearances like “Dick in a box”, were pretty funny. He’s been teaming up with Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, 50 Cent, and others,putting out some pretty good stuff, so I gotta give him props. Read more…
