JT, Harper, Bluegrass
It’s been a pretty lazy Labor Day, I can’t lie. That’s usually the way I spend the last day of my weekend anyway. Catch up on some movies, today was ATL, Blue Chips, Legends of the Fall, and some other shows in-between.
As I am writing this, I am watching the HBO special FutureSex Loveshow by Justin Timberlake. JT is one talented dude. Although Alpha Dog probably wasn’t the best movie, he’s a pretty damned good actor. The SNL appearances like “Dick in a box”, were pretty funny. He’s been teaming up with Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, 50 Cent, and others,putting out some pretty good stuff, so I gotta give him props.
I missed a pretty good show last night here in KC. Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals were playing at Uptown theater. I wasn’t feeling that great, so I stayed home instead, but I heard they rocked out. When I saw them at Wakarusa, he played a hell of a show, so I’m sure this one was just as good.
I’m pretty pumped for Bluegrass coming up as well. We’ve got a quite a crew coming down, so it should be a pretty fun time. My mom’s hooking me up with the use of her camper, so staying down there in the heat may not be so miserable as a tent. I’ve had my guitar for not quite a year now, but haven’t made much progress on being able to play anything that sounds like music, so I’ll leave that to Triggs, Chet, and crew. None are quite as good as Tommy Emmanuel, but who is?
I always tell myself I am going to start writing on here even more, but we’ll see how it holds up. I’ll try my best, if you’re one of the few that are actually reading this.
